52 Profiles
Starting anything with the number 52 in front of it is a daunting task, but I always like a good challenge. However, had I known that half-way through this project I would be months behind I don't know if I would've started it.
The project all started at the end of 2009 around my dining room table where I would sit and draw friends of ours just for the fun of it. Then the idea occurred to continue this as a year-long project and invite others to participate. I reached out via email and twitter to those closest to me. But once the ball got rolling it was like a snowball effect. By the end of the year I had more requests coming in than I could handle. It was overwhelming in the best way.
After three art shows, a write up on my local NPR blog and selling screen prints I am very pleased with this project.
